Women’s Introduction to Handgun

An ideal introduction class for women, taught by women and designed by women. A Girl and A Gun’s Women’s Introduction to Handgun is created to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper range use of semi-automatic handguns. This class is a great first step for new shooters looking to become safe and responsible gun owners.

The goal of this class is to provide essential gun safety skills, range etiquette, terminology, and basic shooting skills to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience at the range. Taught by a Certified A Girl & A Gun Instructor and friendly credentialed support team, this is the class we wish we had the first time we went shooting. In A Girl and A Gun’s Women’s Introduction to Handgun, learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting from addressing safe gun handling to the five basics of accurate shooting in a women friendly, supportive environment.

Experience Level: Beginners
Duration: A total of 3 hours with 2 hours in the classroom and 1 hour on the range
Class Size: No more than 10 ladies

Range Fees: Included in course fee

Eye & ear protection

Equipment Suggestions:
Notepad and pen
Functioning semi-automatic handgun
2 magazines
Range bag, sleeve or box to carry your handgun
50 rounds of ammunition to match the caliber of handgun (no reloaded ammunition)

Attire: Range appropriate attire for the climate, including short or long sleeve, high collared or neckline shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. No low cut tops or v-necks. Weather appropriate outerwear. Brimmed caps are strongly recommended, but not required.

Registration Terms and Policies:
Cancelations/Refunds: 75% of the class fee is refundable if given 72-hours’ notice of class start time. 25% is a non-refundable deposit.
No-Show: Participants who do not show to the class without a prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
Pictures and Videos: Pictures and videos may be taken on a minimal basis with permission of the student to memorialize the event. No pictures or audio/video recordings may be done of the instructor or the instructor’s presentation. This is done for the privacy of the students and instructors and the integrity of the class.
